WWW Wednesday: June 4, 2025

Happy Wednesday, friends! This one’s pretty late, but I haven’t been reading much over the past few weeks. I got laid off from my job and, even though I saw it coming a mile away, it was still a rough blow – my entire team was shut down, so at least I knew it wasn’t any wrongdoing of mine that caused it, but it’s my first time ever being laid off/fired/etc. and it hit me hard! That said, I’m slowly feeling back to normal this week, both with my reading and my mental health in general. I’m feeling hopeful for whatever the universe has in store for me next!

Shy Girl was soooo good! The ending had me on the very edge of my seat and I was so sucked in. Somna was good, too, but everything else lately has been a little tough to get through.

2. What are you currently reading?

I finally decided to set aside Unfuck Your Brain because I’m not in a nonfiction mood at all right now. I’d love to tidy this list up, but I’m too invested in all of my current reads to DNF any of them aside from Nine Month Contract, which I’m feeling meh about, but want to give a little more time. Of course, my Mockingjay reread is wrecking me. 🥲
