Another month is over, so it’s time for another wrap-up! This was a very reading-heavy month, as I finally (over the last 2 months) have been able to get back into using reading as escapism and a genuinely enjoyable hobby, instead of feeling like it’s a chore! Of course, that has faltered a bit since the very end of May when the protests started. It’s hard not to get wrapped up in scrolling Twitter for hours every single day between how angry I am and how much I worry about protesters, especially the ones I know and love personally. I’m trying to find a good balance between helping as much as I can and not running myself ragged, and I know a lot of you have struggled with finding that balance, too. I mentioned this in my weekly wrap-up yesterday, but PLEASE take care of yourselves and know that my inbox is ALWAYS open if you need to vent, cry, or just talk about something distracting and lighthearted for a few minutes.

June 9, 2020Look at all those books! 😀 So glad that you’re able to fall back into reading, Destiny. 🙂 It’s been a rough year in so many ways and I FEEL you about scrolling! It’s a delicate balance. I need more hours in the day to be able to consume everything, still do my job, and also somehow take care of myself. *sigh* I’m sure you feel the same.
Hope you have an incredible June and Happy Pride Month! <3 <3 <3
