WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?

This week, my “finish or DNF” goal will be salt slow!
- Godsgrave
- The Name of the Wind
- Decluttering at the Speed of Life
- Wilder Girls
- DEV1AT3
- Criminal Intentions S1E2: Junk Shop Blues
- The Rest of the Story

Last night, I decided that part of why I’ve read so little over the last several days might be due to feeling overwhelmed by how many current reads I had going on, so I forced myself to whittle it down a bit. There were almost no permanent DNFs this week, only titles I’m going to pick back up another time (except My Absolute Darling & Her Silhouette, Drawn in Water — I’m done with those 2 for good).
I know I only knocked it down to 25 current reads, but given that I’m far enough into a handful of those to pretty easily (hopefully) knock it down to 20 or less this week, I’m feeling a lot better about things~! ♥

- Victor LaValle’s Destroyer
- Heavy Vinyl, Vol. 1
- Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1
- Monstress, Vol. 3

June 19, 2019No shame in taking things slow! And getting overwhelmed is something I can all too well relate too, but I think you handled it really well! And your post shows it! Super proud of you Destiny!

June 20, 2019Good gracious, so many books, love! I hope you’ve been enjoying most of them! <3 I've been having a similar feeling of being overwhelmed by the number of my current reads, but it's significantly lower than yours. I'm afraid my brain would explode if I had to juggle more than 4 or 5 books. Haha! I'm sure you'll be able to knock out some of those reads this week, and I hope it'll make you feel better! <3 Also, you completely reminded me that Dev1at3 releases next week! I had completely forgotten that book was coming out soon! I can't wait to read it! 🙂

June 20, 2019This is such a great post! I don’t think I’ve ever read a WWW Wednesday post with so many books! Are you actively reading all of them? 🙂

June 20, 2019You are slowly chipping away! It is ridiculously satisfying to watch you slowly conquer your CR list haha.
What did you think of My Absoute Darling? I got an ARC but also ended up DNFing it. I loved the writing but it was such a heavy, slow reading book and with the graphic nature of everything on top I sadly struggled.
Destiny @ Howling Libraries
August 25, 2019Suuuuch a slow reply, so sorry, but same on My Absolute Darling! It was just too heavy and sad. 🙁 I might try it again someday, maybe with the audiobook so I can kind of “tune out” when it gets to the super triggering scenes?

August 26, 2019I actually came across the audio through my library and thought the same thing. The good thing is that by having a peek at it, we already know what sort of mood is needed for that type of story.
